After the announcement back in October that they had signed a worldwide deal with Acid Jazz Records, Dexters have now confirmed their debut album will be entitled ‘Shimmer Gold’ and released on March 17th.

“We’re ready to make the next step up with this album – it’s 11 big tracks, not one radio made single and see you later, that’s your lot,” frontman Tom Rowlett says. “Trust me, it’s one of the best debut albums in years and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”

As well as the title-track, the album boasts early single ‘Recover‘ (which is set for a re-release on March 10th), opener ‘Cloudfest‘, and more new songs including ‘Can’t Sleep‘ and ‘They’re Blind‘. In addition, ‘Never a Right Time‘ will be available immediately to those who pre-order the album, while ‘Miss Black Widow‘ is pencilled in as an exclusive iTunes track.

As previously reported on Live4ever, Dexters launch a headline tour of the UK at Southampton’s Joiners venue on March 18th.
