David Bowie‘s comeback album ‘The Next Day‘ has been confirmed as the biggest seller of last year at the UK’s independent music outlets.

A similar list was released back in October to mark the first anniversary of the launch of the UK Record Store Chart – which is compiled entirely from sales registered at 100 of Britain’s leading independent record shops – and the final rundown for 2013 hasn’t changed much since then.

With Bowie remaining on top, Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Queens Of The Stone Age, The National, Boards Of Canada, Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend all retain places in the Top 10. Only Jake Bugg‘s second album ‘Shangri La‘ has moved into the countdown during the last months of 2013.
