Broken Bells have opened a window into their highly anticipated second album ‘After The Disco‘ with a performance of ‘The Changing Lights‘ for LA Blogotheque. That, along with ‘October‘, can be sampled by clicking on the snapshot below.
By the time ‘After The Disco’ is made available next month, it will have been nearly four years since the self-titled debut from producer Danger Mouse and The Shins‘ James Mercer seduced critics across the board and landed a nomination for the Best Alternative Music Album at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
That long gap between albums didn’t seem on the cards when Mercer sat down with Billboard not long after ‘Broken Bells‘ had been released: “We need to do another record, for sure, because we’ve got these songs we need to put out,” he said at the time.
“We’ve got these songs that aren’t B-side type stuff, definitely ones we want on a record, and we enjoy this. It’s fun. I think Danger Mouse enjoys it, too.”
