Video: Cage The Elephant air ‘Melophobia’ tracks on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Cage The Elephant performed two tracks on the US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (December 9th) as they continue to push their 2013 LP ‘Melophobia‘. Have a watch of ‘Come a Little Closer‘ and ‘Take It Or Leave It‘ below.

‘Melophobia’ was released to warm applause from critics, and broke into the US Top 20 last October. “As individuals we all had fairly vague visions for how we wanted the record to turn out,” lead singer Matt Shultz has said of the record. “They were pretty polar. It really became a challenge to combine all these polar opposites together in a cohesive way.”

Cage The Elephant will get a chance to show off the album to British and Irish audiences this coming February when they support Foals on a nine-date tour, starting with two nights at the Olympia in Dublin on February 4th and 5th. After two more back-to-back gigs at the Alexandra Palace in London on the 14th and 15th of February, the band plan on staying in London for their own headline show at the Electric Ballroom on the 17th.
