Latest X Factor winner claims UK’s Christmas Number One

Sam Bailey, the latest winner of X Factor, has returned the talent show to the top of the UK’s singles chart in time for the Christmas number one.

After charity releases from The Justice Collective in 2012 and The Military Wives in 2011, Simon Cowell’s TV show has the traditional UK Christmas Number One title again, with Pharrell Williams‘ ‘Happy‘ and Leona Lewis‘ ‘One More Sleep‘ in second and third place respectively.




AC/DC‘s ‘Highway To Hell‘ – the subject of a Facebook campaign – is at no.4 while perennial festival favourites from Mariah Carey and The Pogues are at #13 and #14.
