The Coral‘s frontman James Skelly will take his new solo venture The Intenders out on the live trail in the UK later this week for three headline shows and a spot supporting The Courteeners in Manchester.

Skelly performs at the Glasgow King Tut’s on December 4th, and then makes appearances at the This Feeling club nights in both Manchester (FAC 251) and London (Queen Of Hoxton) on December 7th and 14th respectively. In between those shows is a quick support slot for The Courteeners when the Mancunians play a huge homecoming show at the Phones 4U Arena (December 13th).

James Skelly retreated to The Coral’s Wirral-based rehearsal studios soon after the band released their to-date final album ‘Butterfly House‘ in 2010 and with a revolving cast of musicians went to work on what would become his first solo album. The resultant LP, ‘Love Undercover‘, was issued under the James Skelly & The Intenders banner on June 3rd this year.

This Feeling are celebrating the gigs with a free download of ‘I’m a Man‘ over on their official website.
