Bastille will perform live at the 2014 Brit Awards ceremony next February.

Led by Dan Smith, the band’s debut album ‘Bad Blood‘ has been one of the breakthrough hits of this year, and they are now due to perform at the O2 Arena in London on February 19th, as are Bruno Mars and Rudimental.

“We are really looking forward to playing the Brits,” the latter remarks. “We went to the event for the very first time this year when we were nominated for Best Single for ‘Feel The Love’. We didn’t win but it was such an amazing night celebrating the best of British music.”

“So to actually be a part of the event this time round is the icing on the cake after such an incredible year too. We are definitely going to bring the party vibe.”

Arctic Monkeys have been previously confirmed to open the awards night as their latest LP ‘AM‘ looks almost certain to figure prominently when the nominations are announced on January 9th 2014.

“We are extremely ambitious for the 2014 show, showcasing global superstars and celebrating the incredible success of British music,” Brit Awards chairman Christian Tattersfield has said. “We are going to pull out all the stops to make this the biggest and most exciting Brits ever.”
