Arctic Monkeys‘ return to Glastonbury last June has been voted the Headline Performance Of The Year at the 2013 UK Festival Awards.

The Sheffield band came out on top ahead of fellow Glastonbury headliners The Rolling Stones – who were also nominated for their British Summertime performance at Hyde Park – Biffy Clyro (Reading & Leeds), Elton John (Bestival), Eminem (Reading & Leeds), Foals (Latitude), Rammstein (Download), Sigur Ros (End Of The Road) and Prodigy (Creamfields).

Elsewhere, Download has landed the coveted Major Festival gong after hosting a weekend which featured Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Rammstein at the top of the bill.
