Tribes have announced their split in a series of messages on Twitter this morning (November 7th).

After two studio albums, the last of which arrived earlier this year, the band have been on Twitter to state that the bandmates will ‘no longer be writing and performing together as Tribes’.

“We are sad to announce that we will no longer be writing and performing together as Tribes,” the tweets read. “Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. We are proud of what we achieved together. You gave us the best four years of our lives so far.”

Tribes hit the UK’s Top 20 in January 2012 with the release of their debut album ‘Baby‘. “Drawing from your inspirations and doing something new and fresh with those ideas is not easy to pull off, but Tribes have managed it,” Live4ever remarked when naming it as one of our essential debuts of last year.

‘Baby’ was followed in May 2013 with second LP ‘Wish To Scream‘, which struggled to replicate the success of a year earlier.
