Motorhead reveal rescheduled European tour dates

The show must go on, as they say, and for Motorhead it will be February 2014 when they get back out on the road to fulfill a series of European tour dates which have been rescheduled due to frontman Lemmy‘s health problems.

Last week, the band’s now-regular November visit to the UK, along with a string of other European shows, were postponed until next year as Lemmy had been deemed not fit enough to perform live as he continues to recover from the effects of a haematoma.

“It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn’t quite ready to hit the road yet, but not nearly as much as it would’ve disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over,” Lemmy said in a statement. “When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a Motörhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.”

Those rearranged dates have now been confirmed, and Motorhead will be in the UK from February 13th next year when the tour starts in Glasgow. A final British gig in Nottingham heralds a trip to mainland Europe for more concerts which carry on well into March.
