Metronomy have scheduled a full UK tour for March next year in the wake of the announcement of their new album ‘Love Letters‘ last week.
The band release the follow-up to their Mercury nominated third album ‘The English Riviera‘ on March 14th 2014 after recording sessions at London’s Toe Rag studios, and are now due to begin the headline tour a day prior in Liverpool.
“It’s weird, I think I’ve learnt the difference between being confident in an egotistical way and being confident in what you do,” frontman Joe Mount has told NME of their LP. “I was getting embarrassed and finding it difficult to sing things that I’d written without cringing.”
The trip stretches on for the remainder of the month, and takes in visits to Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Oxford and more before a closing concert at the Brixton Academy on March 28th.
Previously confirmed gigs at the Old Market in Brighton and the Paris Maroquinerie are also due on January 29th and 31st next year.
