Coldplay will be supported by Ricky Gervais’ genius comedy creation David Brent at a benefit concert which hopes to raise funds for a charity supporting children and young people in London and Bristol.
“Buying a ticket to this concert will guarantee two things: a totally unique never-to-be-repeated night of star-spangled entertainment, and money in the Christmas coffers of a charity that brings love and happiness to London’s most vulnerable kids,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has said.
Ricky Gervais has been further exploring the musical side of his Office character with David Brent and Foregone Conclusion, and will perform at the London Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on December 19th. Lily Allen, Dynamo and Rizzle Kicks have also been booked.
“When you feel happy your heart flips – Coldplay have made thousands of children’s heart flip not just through their music but through their kindness and support,” the Kids Company charity founder Camila Batmanghelidjh has remarked.
