Bombay Bicycle Club will have their fourth studio album in five years released at the start of next year.

The album is out on February 3rd via Island Records, following 2011’s ‘A Different Kind Of Fix‘. The material was written during band member Jack Steadman‘s travails through India, Turkey and Tokyo, and was polished off with the help of Queens Of The Stone Age cohort Mark Rankin.

“I think in terms of the album, there’s a romantic side of it,” Steadman remarks. “There’s a relationship that always seems like it’s in the lurch and ending, but it prevails nonetheless. I feel like we’ve found the balance between making it interesting and intelligent, but also not highbrow or elitist.”

“The whole creation process was a really honest one,” guitarist Jamie MacColl adds. “Jack’s not afraid of us saying a part or lyric doesn’t work so we were able to all be very involved at every level.”

First single ‘Carry Me‘ is being promoted with an innovative fully interactive video, which can be played around with at this link.
