Black Sabbath picked up three prizes at the 2013 Classic Rock Awards, which were held at the Roundhouse in London yesterday (November 14th).

“This year’s winners are a who’s-who of British pioneers, from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, the Stones and Fleetwood Mac winning the popular vote to John Mayall, Mott The Hoople and Wilko Johnson honoured in our special awards,” Classic Rock magazine’s editor-in-chief Scott Rowley states. “And with the Temperance Movement and Virginmarys coming through, there’s still hope for the future of British rock too.”

Black Sabbath’s hat-trick arrived courtesy of the Living Legend Award, the Event Of The Year and Album Of The Year. Elsewhere, Dr. Feelgood legend Wilko Johnson‘s truly extraordinary year was recognised with the Innovator prize, while Outstanding Contribution went to Mott The Hoople.
