Yuck, Embers, Swiss Lips, King Charles and Rachel Sermanni have all signed up for a series of UK concerts in aid of the War Child charity.

The ‘Tune Up’ festival sees the charity, which has enjoyed a long and fruitful connection with the rock world, teaming up with Tune Hotels for gigs in London, Brighton, Manchester and Edinburgh next month.

“Tune Hotels totally understand the importance of what we do, and I think their guests will too,” War Child CEO Rob Williams comments. “Children suffer terrible damage in war zones around the world from Afghanistan to Syria.  War Child helps children to overcome their trauma and find their feet in a world turned upside down by violence.  Music, musicians and audiences have always been a big source of energy for this work, and we are delighted that, with help from Tunes Hotels, we will be able to reach more children in crisis.”

“I’m ecstatic to be working with such an established brand as War Child and that we are able to contribute to their objectives and charitable goals,” Mark Lankester, Group CEO of Tune Hotels, adds. “I have a great passion for music, having worked in the music industry for over 15 years, and understand that this hugely popular medium touches on so many aspects of daily life. For Tune Hotels in particular, we will be able to interweave both local talent and local business to convey the synergies between the two brands of Tune Hotels and ‘TuneUp’.”
