Video: Arcade Fire air new ‘Reflektor’ tracks in Brooklyn

Arcade Fire aired a number of new tracks set to feature on their ‘Reflektor‘ double album during intimate gigs in Brooklyn last weekend.

With the CMJ Music Marathon raging across much of New York, Arcade Fire held two shows at 299 Meserole Street in Brooklyn on October 18th and 19th, performing tracks such as ‘Supersymmetry‘, ‘It’s Never Over (Oh Orpheus)‘, and ‘Joan of Arc‘, fan footage of which can all be viewed below.

The band now visit Miami for dates at the Mekka and Little Haiti Cultural Center this week (October 23rd and 24th), and then play a part in Neil Young’s 27th annual Bridge School Benefit acoustic concerts on the 26th.

Currently, the last live engagement of October is due on the 29th – a day after ‘Reflektor’ hits the shelves – with a performance at what is to-date an unconfirmed Los Angeles location.

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler has been looking back on their time in the studio with David Bowie, remarking to Billboard that there are, ‘Very few role models you can point to who have success like that’. “Many artists get lost chasing success and end up killing what brought them success in the first place,” he said.
