The Flaming Lips have covered Tame Impala, and vice versa, for a special EP which is being sold on the bands’ joint US tour dates.
The shows began in Boston yesterday (September 30th), and take in visits to New York’s Terminal 5, Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing and Columbia’s Merriweather Post Pavilion during the next few days. Those with tickets for the dates will be able to sample The Flaming Lips’ cover of Tame Impala’s sublime single ‘Elephant‘, and ‘Runway, Houses, City, Clouds‘, while Tame Impala return the favour with ‘Are You a Hypnotist?‘ and ‘Silver Trembling Hands‘.
After their shows with The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala also have a couple of dates along side The National to come this month.
