Mumford & SonsWinston Marshall and James Walbourne of The Pretenders have both join the A Night For Jon Brookes bill ahead of the benefit concert’s kick-off tonight (October 18th).

The Charlatans have arranged the evening’s entertainment to celebrate the life of their late drummer, who sadly died in August, whilst also raising funds for brain tumour charities fighting the disease which took his life.

Marshall and Walbourne will back the previously announced Vaccines guitarist Freddie Cowan at the Royal Albert Hall in London tonight.

“The Vaccines all wanted to take part, but Justin Young and their drummer Pete Robertson are on holiday, so Freddie kindly got some friends to help back me up,” Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess has told NME. “I love The Vaccines, it’ll be great to sing a couple of their songs.”

Other acts set to perform tonight include Liam Gallagher – who is billed as being joined by ‘friends’ such as his former Oasis bandmate Paul ‘Bonehead’ ArthursManic Street Preachers frontman James Dean Bradfield and New Order pair Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert.
