Neil Young has invited Arcade Fire to join the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, My Morning Jacket and Tom Waits at his 27th annual Bridge School Benefit concerts.

The non-profit charity events have been held in Mountain View, California every year since 1986, with all proceeds going towards the Bridge School which has offered specialist care to children since the mid-Eighties.

Held over the weekend of October 26th-27th, the acoustic shows will also be treated to performances from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Heart, Diane Krall and fun..

Meanwhile, online rumours are linking Arcade Fire to New York shows later this week as the annual CMJ Music Marathon prepares to get underway in the city. One additional gig which has been confirmed takes place at the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami on October 24th – arriving shortly before the band’s new album ‘Reflektor‘ gets its official release.
