Foals have unveiled the latest official video to be taken from their 2013 album ‘Holy Fire‘. The promo for ‘Out Of The Woods‘ can be watched below.
The single comes soon after ‘Holy Fire’ made the shortlist for this year’s Mercury Prize, having been installed as one of the early favourites ahead of the nominees’ confirmation this month. With the winner set to be announced in October, Foals remain one of the hot favourites to take home the prestigious award, as do Disclosure, David Bowie and Laura Marling.
An eye on gradual progression has helped to secure the group that critical appreciation, and is likely to continue in earnest if frontman Yannis Philippakis is to be believed. “Things are going well, and there’s a reaction in the band to go the opposite way,” he recently told the Daily Star.
“We keep telling our record label we’d like to make a triple album of stoner metal and old-school jungle, or one long drone that lasts 70 minutes. We’ve always wanted to make weird experimental music.”
A successful year for Foals is rounded off with the release of a live album and DVD on October 28th; ‘Holy Fire: Live At The Royal Albert Hall‘, also comes with a brand new documentary entitled Nothing Left Unsaid.
