The 1975 have cemented an astonishing rise to mainstream success tonight as their self-titled debut album lands at number on the UK charts.

The Manchester band, whose debut EP was released just last summer, edge out Nine Inch Nails and their comeback record ‘Hesitation Marks‘, with Rizzle Kicks one further place back.




Elsewhere, Babyshambles return with a Top 10 place thanks to ‘Sequel To The Prequel‘, and Stereophonics‘ latest LP ‘Graffiti On The Train‘ holds strong at #11.
