Peace air studio version of Disclosure’s ‘White Noise’

Peace have turned their live cover of Disclosure and AlunaGeorge‘s summer anthem ‘White Noise‘ into a fully fledged studio recording – have a listen below.

The Birmingham band have previously aired their version of the track for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series, and also performed it at the Reading/Leeds weekend last month, before taking it into the studio.

Peace could be one of the outside bets to be named on the 2013 Mercury Prize shortlist later today (September 11th) thanks to their debut ‘In Love‘, which has proved to be one of Live4ever’s favourite releases of the year so far.

“Like many debuts, ‘In Love’ is as much an amalgamation of Peace’s record collection as it is an original, forward-thinking statement, and in less assured hands it could well have been a disaster,” our review reads. “But it’s not. Why? Quite simply, because pound for pound these are ten of the best songs you will hear this year, baggy or otherwise.”

“If you’ve already dismissed Peace as just another ‘hype’ band, think again – this is an album you’ll play again and again.”
