Nick Mason would be up for a Pink Floyd reunion

Nick Mason has again said he would be up for a Pink Floyd reunion if his former bandmates ever agreed to a return.

The drummer has been by some distance the most vocal advocate of the estranged Pink Floyd members reforming as the memory of their last full scale live performance – at the Live 8 event in 2005 – becomes ever more distant.

“I would do it, I’m ready to go,” he has told NME. “I’m packed, I have my drum kit, a suitcase and a wash bag by my front door ready for it when I ever get the call. But I’m not holding my breath.”

“Roger’s really happy doing his own show, and David I really don’t think wants to do it – to have to deal with the whole business, the enormity of that project. I think Dave really enjoys operating on his own.”

Pink Floyd had been rumoured to be set for an appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics – rumours which never came to fruition.
