Miles Kane is to release the new single ‘Better Than That‘ soon after he completes an imminent autumn tour of England.
The track is taken from Kane’s second solo album ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are‘, and was co-written with XTC man Andy Partridge. It will be released on October 14th, three days after his tour ends at the London Brixton Academy.
Meanwhile, ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ came out on top in the Album Of The Year category at last week’s annual Liverpool Music Awards, which celebrates the best of the city’s musical talent. Ian Skelly‘s ‘Cut From a Star’ and ‘Towers’ by Baltic Feet were also nominated. Kane did lose out however in the Best Male Artist section, where the prize went to Esco Williams.
