Haim have said they threatened to leak their debut album ‘Days Are Gone‘ after becoming impatient with their record label’s delay in getting the record officially released.
The sibling trio first began to stir industry loins last year, and were later placed at #1 on the BBC’s annual Sound Of… poll in January, which aims to highlight the brightest new talent for the year to come.
However, fans are having to sit tight until September 30th for the maiden album to be eventually released, and it appears the band themselves have been just as frustrated with the waiting time.
“I threatened to leak it to the powers that be at our label and they weren’t very happy about that,” Haim’s Este told XFM. “I kind of just want it to come out now. Everyday I’m like: Should I just do it? Should I just do it? Post it on my Facebook?”
Haim round off 2013 with a December tour of the UK, opening up at the Norwich UEA on the 4th.
