David Bowie to release ‘The Next Day’ expanded edition with new tracks

David Bowie has announced the details of an expanded edition of his 2013 comeback album ‘The Next Day‘ which will be released in November.

Added to the original tracklist is a 10-track bonus CD which includes four previously unreleased tracks – ‘Atomica‘, ‘The Informer‘, ‘Like a Rocket Man‘ and ‘Born In a UFO‘, as well as ‘God Bless The Girl‘, which has until now only been available on the Japanese version of the LP.

The Next Day Extra‘ will also contain a DVD featuring the promos for past singles ‘Where Are We Now?‘, ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)‘, ‘The Next Day‘ and ‘Valentine’s Day‘. It is due out on November 4th.

‘The Next Day’ remains a strong favourite for this year’s Mercury Prize after its nomination was confirmed earlier this month. At 9/2, the album is second in the running at most bookmakers. Disclosure‘s ‘Settle‘ is the current leader, with Foals and Laura Marling not far behind.
