A version of the track is streaming now on YouTube (below), while an extended edition fills up the B-side on the vinyl. Sides C and D, meanwhile, will have a ‘super’ extended cut of the song clocking in at over 30 minutes.
‘Gimme’ follows other releases such as the summer single ‘I Won’t Be Long‘ which have emerged during a relatively busy 2013 for Beck. He also finally brought his 2012 ‘Song Reader‘ LP to life this year with a performance in California and a grand unveiling in London.
Previously only available in sheet music form, the album was given a sonic platform in London back in July when a diverse host of special guests, which included Jarvis Cocker, Beth Orton, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Michael Kiwanuka, joined the respected US musician onstage at the city’s Barbican venue.
