2013 AIM Independent Music Awards wins for Daughter, Vampire Weekend, Enter Shikari

Daughter, Vampire Weekend and Enter Shikari went home with the big prizes from last night’s (September 3rd) AIM Independent Music Awards ceremony which was held at The Brewery in Clerkenwell.

Daughter’s debut ‘If You Leave‘ was named Independent Album Of The Year, while Vampire Weekend picked up the Independent Track Of The Year for their typically catchy single ‘Diane Young‘. Enter Shikari were also celebrating after being named as the year’s best live act.

Elsewhere, BBC DJ and former NME journalist Steve Lamacq was given the Special Recognition award, and The xx won ‘Best Difficult Second Album’ thanks to 2012’s ‘Coexist‘.

As previously announced, Billy Bragg was honoured with this year’s Outstanding Contribution To Music award.
