Wolf Alice have been confirmed as the chief support for The Cribs when the Yorkshire trio perform a tiny gig in London next week.

The Cribs play Birthdays in the Dalston area of London on August 27th, with local four-piece Wolf Alice opening up at the 280-capacity venue, which is now sold-out.

Meanwhile, the Jarman brothers also have a special, one-off gig in Leeds booked on December 19th, with ‘very special guests’ promised for the O2 Academy show.

2013 has remained a busy year for Ryan Jarman, who along with his Cribs commitments, which also included the release of the singles collection ‘Payola‘ in March, has formed the new band Exclamation Pony with Jen Turner of Here We Go Magic, based in New York.

“The whole point of what we’re trying to do is be very liberated, to be able to do what we want and live how we want – we live at the end of the day, we find we write better at the night, late at night or seven in the morning,” Jarman told NME earlier this year.
