Laura Marling, Jake Bugg, Public Image Ltd. and Bastille are just some of the acts who will help celebrate Virgin Records’ 40th anniversary with a series of gigs later this year.

Beginning on October 3rd with a performance from Laura Marling at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, gigs will take place throughout the month and into November, with Jake Bugg booked to play the Brixton Academy on October 24th and Public Image Ltd. down for a show at the Shepherds Bush Empire three days earlier. Bastille play the London KOKO on November 5th, supported by Josh Record.

Richard Branson’s label first found real success in the early Seventies with Mike Oldfield‘s massive selling ‘Tubular Bells‘, and later provided a refuge for the Sex Pistols‘ debut album ‘Never Mind The Bollocks…‘.
