Green Day closed out the first day of this year’s Reading Festival with a headline performance on the Main Stage last night (August 23rd).

The US band played for well over two hours, during which time their 1994 album ‘Dookie‘ was aired in its entirety.

Up at a rain-soaked Leeds, Biffy Clyro made their headline-status bow, airing a career-spanning set which was finished with the Scottish band’s sing-a-long favourite ‘Mountains‘.

Green Day will now move on to Leeds tonight, while Biffy Clyro have a day off before closing out Reading on Sunday evening –  Eminem tops the bill there today.
