Bruce Springsteen has been named as the ‘greatest live act in the world’ by Rolling Stone.
The publication has The Boss, currently wowing audiences with his legendary mammoth sets during the ongoing Wrecking Ball world tour, placed first immediately ahead of Prince and The Rolling Stones.
Arcade Fire, who have just confirmed their first live shows of 2014 as part of next year’s Big Day Out festival, are fourth, while Neil Young completes the Top 5.
Radiohead and Jack White are among the acts to also make the Top 10, while rock veterans U2, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Metallica and Paul McCartney are further back inside the Top 20.

Springsteen is the greatest act on the planet at the moment!! It is a no brainer. If you don’t agree, you having seen the Wrecking Ball Tour.! He is at 64 better than he has ever been. I seen him two nights running & his set list changed by 17 songs!! (check out Set Lists FM, he does a different set every night! Who does that!) Played for 3 hours one night 3.20 the next . Not a second to be bored in either concert. His rendition of The Ghost of Tom Joad with Tom Morello had to be seen to be believed. However, Paul McCartney at 15 is total BS> He is still totally awesome live & just by song choice alone (as a solo artist & of course from the greatest band in history) he kills the stones. Seen em both & I know who i preferred even though i love Keff & Mick
