Animal Collective have unveiled a rescheduled tour of North America after the original spring itinerary was cancelled due to a band illness.

At the time, frontman Avey Tare spoke of the band’s determination to confirm a new run of dates in a statement which concluded:

“We promise you all that we are doing everything we can to reschedule all these shows asap and we will be visiting your cities. We hope you can all understand and sympathize with the situation. It’s been really fun for all of us to be playing these days and the energy you all give us makes us want to take it further and further with you and give it right back.”

Those new shows will begin on September 6th in Portland with their original touring partner Dan Deacon in tow. Deacon also joins Animal Collective on October 28th for the second of two nights at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer venue.

After a month’s break, the tour later wraps up on December 8th in Nashville. Meanwhile, the band have also released a promo for the ‘Centipede HZ‘ album track ‘Monkey Riches’, which can be viewed over at our Videos section.
