The Vaccines will release the brand new EP ‘Melody Calling‘ in August.
The EP has already been previewed with the title-track which was premiered late last month, and is the result of recording sessions in Los Angeles towards the beginning of 2013 with producers John Hill and Rich Costey which were first discussed when frontman Justin Young was interviewed by NME in May.
“We recorded a few songs in LA last month with John Hill and Rich Costey, and we’re just working out what to do with them,” Young said.
“They feel like a bridge to something else so I guess they’ll be an EP, but I guess there is a small chance they might be the start of album three, because I feel very creative at the moment. They feel quite different so it’s exciting. We’re trying a lot of things for the first time.”
Released via digital download on August 12th, the EP also includes two other new songs, and a remix courtesy of the aforementioned producers.
