Leonard Cohen reschedules UK tour dates for religious reasons

Leonard Cohen has rescheduled two of his forthcoming UK live engagements due to religious reasons.

Cohen, a devout Jew, originally planned to play the Leeds Arena on September 5th and the O2 Arena in London on September 14th, but has now changed those dates as they both conflict with Jewish days of solemn religious observance.

As a result, the veteran songwriter will now be in Leeds on September 7th, and later arrives in London on September 15th.

The UK tour is the latest round of dates scheduled behind Cohen’s 2012 album ‘Old Ideas‘ – his twelfth career effort – and kicks off at the Bournemouth BIC on August 26th, followed by additional August shows in Brighton and Manchester before the tour moves into September with a gig in Cardiff on the 3rd.

Tour dates:

AUGUST
Bournemouth BIC (26)
Brighton Centre (28)
Manchester Arena (31)

SEPTEMBER
Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (3)
Leeds Arena (7)
Birmingham LG Arena (8)
London The O2 (15)
