Queens Of The Stone Age leader Josh Homme has praised the forthcoming new album from the Arctic Monkeys.

Speaking at the Rock For People festival in the Czech Republic Homme, who produced a large chunk of the Arctics’ 2009 album ‘Humbug‘, described their latest effort as, ‘a really cool, sexy after-midnight record’.

“I sang on the new Arctic Monkeys record,” he said. “It’s a really cool, sexy after-midnight record. It’s called ‘AM’, so I guess that’s really obvious. And it’s really good. It’s really good. It’s not disco but it’s like a modern, dancefloor sexy record. It’s really good.”

Meanwhile, Queens Of The Stone Age have announced their own 2013 LP ‘…Like Clockwork‘ will be the subject of a special re-release on an 8GB USB flash-drive. The USB stick can also be used as a bottle opener, and will comprise lyric sheets, photos and videos.

The band are due to begin a tour of UK arenas in Glasgow later this year.
