Jack White‘s Third Man Records is to release a vinyl edition of rapper Jay-Z‘s  new album ‘Magna Carta…Holy Grail‘.

The label, which has taken care of a number of special releases during the past few years, says it has ‘something very special planned for the vinyl edition which will be made available for purchase in the coming weeks’.

The album, Jay Z’s twelfth, is well on course to becoming his first chart topper in the UK after midweek figures published yesterday showed it ahead of nearest rival Michael Buble, while last week’s number one – Mumford & Sons‘ ‘Babel‘ – which shot up the charts after the band’s headline appearance at Glastonbury, is down to #4.

Meanwhile, Jack White told Rolling Stone earlier this year a Third Man festival could happen at some point in the future. “We would love to do a travelling show sometime soon,” he said. “It would be nice if everybody has some affiliation with us in some way, and see if we can all put it on the road together. It would be very nice.”
