Haim have debuted their new single ‘The Wire‘ as work continues on the sibling trio’s debut album.
The track immediately follows ‘Falling‘, which was released earlier this year, and is to be made available from September 23rd via Polydor Records. It can be heard through Soundcloud below.
‘The Wire’ received its premiere as the latest edition of BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ series; the BBC are keeping a close eye on the Californian band having placed them at number one on the annual Sound Of… poll at the start of 2013.
“Haim have an unapologetic passion for music that shines in their songs,” BBC DJ Huw Stevens said when announcing the winners on Radio 1. “They’re brilliant musicians who have a real talent for tunes that merge their tales of growing up in the 21st Century with a classic songwriting ability.”
Haim will be in the UK next month for an appearance at the Reading/Leeds festival.
