Arcade Fire have revealed their new album will be out on October 29th.
The Canadian band made the revelation when replying to a fan on Twitter, and have contradicted reports last month which came out of the music network Revolt TV who claimed to have spoken to a source close to the band who offered up a release date of September 9th.
Arcade Fire have been working on the follow-up to 2010’s runaway success ‘The Suburbs‘ with their regular collaborator Markus Dravs, as well LCD Soundsystem man James Murphy, who told Rolling Stone earlier this year that it is shaping up to be ‘a really great record’.
“I think it’s going to be a really great record, actually. I’m eager to see it come out,” he said. “There’s a lot of them, and they’re mostly self-produced – like, they don’t need a producer in a certain way. So I didn’t know how it would go.”
