Tom Odell’s swift rise to commercial success during the past 12 months has reached its peak today with his debut album ‘Long Way Down’ entering at number on the UK charts.

The record, the subject of a 0/10 review from NME, displaces last week’s chart-topper – Kanye West‘s ‘Yeezus‘ – which slips down to #6.

Elsewhere, fired by a very well received set at the Glastonbury festival, Jake Bugg‘s own debut LP has jumped 22 places to chart at #5, while Black Sabbath and Queens Of The Stone Age both hold onto positions inside the Top 20.
