The Vaccines have posted a brand new track entitled ‘Melody Calling‘ to Soundcloud (below).
The track is unveiled as the London band prepare to embark on a busy period of summer festival engagements with a visit to Glastonbury this week.
‘Melody Calling’ offers the first glimpse of ‘different’ sounding new material which was recorded at the Eldorado Studios in Los Angeles with producers John Hill and Rich Costey earlier this year, and was first discussed when frontman Justin Young spoke to NME last month.
“We recorded a few songs in LA last month with John Hill and Rich Costey, and we’re just working out what to do with them,” Young said.
“They feel like a bridge to something else so I guess they’ll be an EP, but I guess there is a small chance they might be the start of album three, because I feel very creative at the moment. They feel quite different so it’s exciting. We’re trying a lot of things for the first time.”
