The Rolling Stones celebrated the 50th anniversary of their debut single ‘Come On‘ by giving it a very rare live outing in Toronto last night (June 6th).

The single was released exactly 50 years ago today and, with the Stones out on the road celebrating their landmark year, the track was performed live for only the eighth time in their long career at the city’s ACC venue.

In keeping with the legendary band’s early output, ‘Come On’ is a cover of the Chuck Berry rock n roll staple, who himself had released the song as a single just a couple of years earlier.

Unlike many of the other shows performed so far on the 50 And Counting tour, fans in Toronto were not treated to any one-off special guests, though former guitarist Mick Taylor was again present for performances of ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking‘, ‘Midnight Rambler‘ and ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction‘.
