Ozzy Osbourne hopes Black Sabbath album will banish memory of reality series

Ozzy Osbourne has said he hopes Black Sabbath‘s new album ‘13‘ will help to re-establish his reputation as a leading rock frontman after becoming more famous these days for the bumbling persona seen on the reality series The Osbournes, which became a huge hit after first airing on MTV back in 2002.

“Of course I regret doing the fucking show,” Ozzy tells NME. “I didn’t want to be on fucking television. I didn’t become a fucking rock’n’roll singer to read the fucking weather forecast, know what I mean? it’s part of the reason I wanted to come back. This album pisses on all that.”

Later, Ozzy also opened the door for drummer Bill Ward to sort out his differences with the band and rejoin in time for the recording of any possible new album in the future.

“It’s a strong possibility,” he reveals. “We would have loved to have Bill on this album. Maybe we can work things out by the next one. But it won’t take another 35 years. I’m 65 now. There’s no fucking recording studios in the afterlife. We’re all even closer for all this shit, so there’s one positive, one fucking silver lining.”
