Arcade Fire will release new material in Septemberif Revolt TV is to be believed.

The music network claims to have spoken to ‘sources close to the band’ who earmark September 9th as the time to look out for new music from the Canadian troupe, but this is not thought to be the release date for their new album itself.

Arcade Fire have been recording the follow-up to their highly decorated 2010 LP ‘The Suburbs‘ since late last year, and have been joined by LCD Soundsystem‘s James Murphy in the DFA studios along side their long term studio collaborator Markus Dravs.

“I think it’s going to be a really great record, actually. I’m eager to see it come out,” Murphy told Rolling Stone not long ago. “There’s a lot of them, and they’re mostly self-produced – like, they don’t need a producer in a certain way. So I didn’t know how it would go.”
