Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. Longfellow, Fist City and more

Live4ever’s highlights from this week’s New Tunes Guide are provided by Longfellow and Fist City.

Having already bagged a spot performing at the London Olympic Games last summer, Longfellow have their debut single ‘Gabrielle‘ all wrapped up for release on July 29th. Fist City, meanwhile, had to improvise when the time came to create the promo for their new single ”Boring Kids‘ after complications with a pro film-maker, and so instead decided to invite their friends along to what looks like a pretty spaced out, specially arranged party.

You can absorb these highlights for yourself, along with eight other of our stand-out new tracks of the week, below.

Pirate Sons began life as a duo based in New Zealand, and are now a trio based in Edinburgh. Their EP ‘233U’ is named after the infamous home of the Dirty, Dirty Rascals. It’s a place that has proved a massive influence to the band – a 5 bedroom flat constantly filled with at least 10 tenants and a colourful selection of visitors, the EP is inspired by the huge personalities who have surfed the couch at this notorious address. An artistic collective of nomadic creatures from around the world – one of whom ended up being recruited as Pirate Sons’ bass player.”

He hitchhiked across America, dissecting life in conversations with all those he came across and scribbling down stories in a notepad he kept in his breast pocket.
