Black Sabbath and Beady Eye are locked in what looks like being a two horse race for next week’s UK number one album.

The British bands are at #1 and #2 on the official midweek update with ‘13‘ and ‘BE‘ respectively, while the current chart-topper, Disclosure‘s debut record ‘Settle‘, is at the moment back at no.4.

Liam Gallagher is looking for his first number one album fronting Beady Eye after previously enjoying an unbroken run of seven straight top charting studio albums in Britain during a near 20 year run with Oasis. His current band’s 2011 debut ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding‘ peaked at #3.
