London is the ‘most musical city’ in the UK according to the results of a study undertaken by Spotify.
The online music streaming service has been documenting the average number of minutes its UK-based Spotify users are active per day, and found that subscribers in London accounted for the most minutes spent listening to music, with Nottingham second and Bristol third.
“Given London’s rich musical history and brilliant music scene it’s no surprise that London tops the charts when it comes to having the biggest music fans in the UK,” Will Hope, Director of Label Relations at Spotify, has said of the results.
“However, it’s interesting to see that the UK’s second biggest community of music fans are in Nottingham, pushing the more famously ‘musical’ cities of Manchester and Liverpool down the list.”
