Liam Gallagher has said he is skeptical about the authenticity of his brother Noel‘s new-found friendship with Damon Albarn during an interview with NME.

Gallagher Sr. made headlines in March when he joined Albarn and Blur‘s Graham Coxon onstage during the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts for a performance of ‘Tender‘.

The collaboration arrived after the pair had apparently struck up a friendship following a chance meeting last year, and was seen as a very public simmering of the rivalry between Oasis and Blur which defined British music for a period in the Nineties.

However, it would seem Liam Gallagher is not getting caught up in any such sentimentality, and has described the incident as ‘bollocks’.

“That was bollocks,” he remarks. “If you think that was genuine you must be living on the fucking moon. Why do I know that? Because I know my brother. That’s how I feel. He’s full of shit. I think Damon’s alright, but you know our kid – it’ll be Robbie Williams next.”

Liam Gallagher and his Beady Eye bandmates are preparing to release their second album ‘BE‘ next month.
