Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher revealed the band are in talks to perform live on the latest edition of X Factor during a playback of their upcoming album ‘BE‘.

According to the Daily Star, Liam was quick to stave off any criticism which might come their way if they do accept Simon Cowell’s invitation, saying they cannot resist the chance to play to a ‘huge audience’.

“We’re doing X Factor; we’re in talks to perform on it,” Gallagher is quoted as saying. “I don’t care what people say when they complain that rock is dead, you have to take the opportunity to play to a huge audience.

Beady Eye, consisting of former Oasis bandmates Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer, along with drummer Chris Sharrock and bass player Jay Mehler, release their new album next month. The record is expected to prove to be something of a departure for the group after they enlisted the talents of producer Dave Sitek during its recording.
