Kasabian have announced the details of a small gig in Bridlington next month which will act as a warm-up for the Leicester band’s headline appearance at the relocated Hard Rock Calling Festival on June 29th.

Kasabian have reserved the Bridlington Spa venue for June 26th, with tickets going onsale from this Friday (May 10th).

The live outings arrive as Tom Meighan, Serge Pizzorno and co. press on with recording a new album, with Pizzorno recently stating they are ambitiously searching for ‘the future sound of rock’ on what will be their fifth LP.

Also headlining Hard Rock Calling will be Bruce Springsteen, who famously had his performance cut short at the same festival last year after running over an agreed curfew.

That controversial decision proved to be the tipping point for Hard Rock promoters who had faced a year of battles with local councilors and residents over perceived disruption in and around its Hyde Park location.

As a result, the two-day event has now moved to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London for 2013; the site of last year’s Olympic Games.
